Man United players will wear black armbands on Sunday in memory of the seven fans who lost their lives recently in Calabar, Nigeria.

Manchester United players will wear black armbands on Sunday, April 30, to mourn the seven fans that died at a viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River state, Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a tweet by the club’s official Twitter handle (@Manutd) on Friday, April 28. Manchester United welcome Swansea City on Sunday, April 30, in week 34 of the Premier League.

But according to the official police report, the high-tension cable which fell inside the viewing centre in Calabar killed seven people and injured several others who were watching Manchester United’s Europa League game against Anderlecht.
