Fani-Kayode faulted the appointment of Mohammed Bello Tukur as the Secretary of the Federal Character Commission.

In a series of tweets on his social media page, the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has faulted the appointment of Mohammed Bello Tukur as the secretary of the Federal Character Commission.

Fani-Kayode said the appointment is tantamount to rewarding Fulani herdsmen, whom he said has killed a lot of Nigerians.

Fani-Kayode in his tweet, accused the new Secretatry of Federal Character Commission of being the spokesperson of the killer herdsmen.

Fani-Kayode said: “Buhari has rewarded the Fulani herdsmen for butchering Nigerians by appointing their spokesman as the Sec. of the Fed. Character Commission.

“More Christians were killed by the Fulani Janjaweed and militants in Southern Kaduna on Easter day. The bloodbath and genocide continues.”

Meanwhile, Fani-Kayode has said he is yet to receive court papers on the proposed defamation suit against him by the minister of transport Rotimi Amaechi. A statement signed by Jude Ndukwe, the special adviser on media to Fani-Kayode said the former minister's lawyers are also ready to respond to Amaechi appropriately. Amaechi through his lawyers, had written to tell Fani-Kayode to write an apology letter for alleging that a huge sum recently recovered from a flat in ikoyi belongs to Amaechi. Amaechi in the letter threatens to sue Fani-Kayode for N2 billion if the latter did not apologise, but Fani-Kayode said he awaits the court papers as he refused to apologise.
